I use this term rather than Anti-China because I think the people are opposed to the government, and not necessarily the people of China. An alternative would be Anti-CPC (Communist Party of China). When we start using “Anti-China”, it might lead to boycotts of Chinese restaurants, Anti-Taiwan feelings, in addition to the call for boycotts on the 2008 Olympics already. Plus, we have ethnic Chinese-Vietnamese (e.g. Trieu Chau), and we don’t want to make it seem like we oppose them.

It’s important to note that there is a current of thought concerning the incompetence of the Vietnamese Communist Party in protecting the sovereignty of Vietnam, and calls for the removal of the VCP is enjoined with calls against the Chinese Communist Party.
